PAC Study Team Leads
Alan Nyitray, PhD, Principal Investigator and Associate Professor, MCW Cancer Center and Center for AIDS Intervention ResearchAlan is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. His research has focused on the natural history of anal HPV infection and, most recently, anal cancer screening. The anal HPV epidemiology research has included studies with gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men, heterosexual couples, and heterosexual men. His current research assesses protocols for anal precancer and cancer screening. He has published more the 70 peer-reviewed papers on these topics and is funded by the National Cancer Institute. Prior to his HPV research, Nyitray delivered HIV prevention in a service capacity for 15 years.
Christopher Ajala, MD, MPH, Clinical Research CoordinatorChristopher is the lead clinical research coordinator supporting PAC Study activities in Chicago and Houston. Christopher has content expertise in scientific principles and research methodology. He has a master’s degree in Public Health Administration and Policy from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, Twin Cities. In addition to his public health experience, he is a trained physician from Nigeria.
Bridgett Brzezinski, MA, Clinical Research Coordinator
Bridgett is the clinical research coordinator supporting PAC Study activities in Milwaukee. She works at the MCW Clinical Cancer Center, the Center for AIDS Intervention Research, and with five collaborating Milwaukee clinics, supporting participants and the community. Bridgett’s undergraduate background is in Corporate Communication and Women’s Studies. She also holds a master’s degree in Health Communication with a research focus on sexual health and physician-patient communication.
